Jo Wise, B.A.(Hons), M.Sc., M.Sc., MBACP (Accred)
I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist, working in Farringdon (EC1), Central London (W1) and North London (N2). I work with individuals, over long or short term periods, taking each person’s needs and circumstances into consideration, depending on the difficulties that each person wishes to explore and understand.
I have experience of working within the NHS, University counselling and psychotherapy services, as well as private practice. I am an accredited member of the BACP – British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. It ensures that all its members are appropriately trained and qualified. I adhere to the strict guidelines of the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I work analytically to help people explore and make sense of their conscious and unconscious difficult feelings and behaviours, and identify possible underlying causes of their distress.
My experience of working with patients includes a wide range of emotional difficulties including:
- depression
- anxiety
- stress & panic attacks
- family and relationship problems
- self esteem issues
- loss & bereavement
- sexual abuse
- health problems
- anger
- trauma
- psychosexual difficulties
- identity issues
- work related issues
